SOOOOOOOoooo!!! The day has finally come, we are leaving today.
First flight is at 6h20 and the second is at7h00! Being part of the second, I got there with Lindsay at 5. We all got there, happy to leave when we got into a "situation". Lindsay wasn't on the second flight, but the first. After 20 minutes of trying to figure something out, she got left behind, trying to get on another flight to get there the same day. Worrying over that matter, the rest of us still continued in the airport until Philippe Miriello noticed that he left his passport in his luggage which got thrown with the others in the bag check. Phil Hainaut stayed with him as long as he could but needed to continue with the group as well. So, in less than 20 minutes, we lost 2 members. When we finally got to our plane's door, we decided to pray for our "situation" so that God, who is in control, would help us ALL to get to Jamaica. After we prayed, we saw Phil Hainaut and Phil Miriello coming down the stairs. One done. God's Good! So we went on the plane to Atlanta then to Jamaica. We pretty much arrived at the same time as the first group. While we were waiting for the bus that would drive us during the trip, we got some news from Lindsay! She was on her way to Jamaica and we would see her later on that night. 2 done!
God's very good YAY! During that evening, we went to WestGate Hills where we were going to meet with Pasta Sharpe! He introduced us to some of the church members and told us the genesis of his Church. While some of us (Phil, Pasta Sharpe, Gail and Jon) were planning the week, the rest of us went went on our own to pray about the community, the church and our group. Lindsay met with us around that time and everyone was cheerful. Then we all went back to Auntie Dalleys souvenir shop and that's it for that day.
Glad to hear that everyone made it OK. Hey Jacinthe, we also have great news. Sue was able to fix the "situation" with Lindsay's ticket. She'll depart with the 3:00PM group. We were not able to reach anybody so we use this blog. Proud of you guys.
